Our brewing cocoa is essentially bits of 100% pure Hawaiian grown cacao, with no added sugar, flavorings, or fats. Minimal heat and processing allows for all of the beneficial antioxidants and nutrients to be preserved, making it a healthy alternative to sugary drinks. Because the grounds do not dissolve in hot liquid, the consistency and flavor is more similar to tea or coffee than hot chocolate. Brewing cocoa can be brewed using a French Press, drip coffee filter system or a tea strainer. It is excellent as a hot or an iced beverage and it is recommended to brew it longer and use more grounds if a more robust flavor is desired. Like coffee or tea, you can drink brewing cocoa plain or just add a little honey and cream to bring out a deep chocolate flavor. You can even mix your favorite coffee grounds with brewing cocoa to give you an all natural mocha flavored drink!
