Ka’u Special Select is a rich, full bodied coffee that has complex yet balanced flavor with notes of plum and citrus. The delicate fruit and floral aromatics lean toward chocolate in the aroma and fruit in the cup that lingers to the smooth finish without an acidic bite.
Ka’u is an up and coming coffee growing area on the south side of the island from the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park on the East to Ka Lae or south point on the west. The climate and soils of the region have produced some of the best coffees in the world and has garnered International awards in past years, placing in the top ten out of 250 international entries.
